Acclaimed Boston ventriloquist, Kevin Driscoll, has performed with Darci Lynn, the 12-year-old ventriloquist who won $1 million on TV’s America’s Got Talent, and now he’s bringing his talent to Compass On the Bay Memory Care Assisted Living, a Senior Living Residences memory care community in South Boston, Mass.
“Compass on the Bay is one of the few communities in the Boston area dedicated exclusively to those with memory loss and dementia. Our state-of-the-art Memory Support Assisted Living community offers research-based treatment programming for those with varying levels of memory loss, from Mild Cognitive Impairment to diagnosed Alzheimer’s disease. We focus on the whole person, not just their basic physical or cognitive needs.” explains Sarah Georges, Marketing Manager at Senior Living Residences Corporate Headquarters in Braintree, MA.
To celebrate the country of Croatia known for their puppet shows on June 30, 2025 at 12 Noon, the community will help those with Alzheimer’s and dementia recall cherished memories of watching the likes of Shari Lewis with Lamb Chop, Señor Wences, and Edgar Bergen on The Ed Sullivan Show.
“Our residents grew up watching ventriloquists on television, but, because of dementia, they may not remember. By helping them recall these cherished memories, we are keeping them connected to an important period in their lives and helping to improve their overall memory,” says Erin Bollinger, Director of Compass Programming.
