I am very sad. My husband got it at 57, he just turned 64.

He’s in a memory care facility in Los Angeles. Yesterday when I visited him he was totally out of it. Nurse told me he had just thrown up, again. He has a huge bruise on his left wrist which some incompetent staff member caused when she was raking a routine blood draw. I was outraged. They told me he “probably moved or something while blood was drawn”. His right wrist clearly showed where the blood was really drawn from, so I’m sad AND angry. Mostly I want my Jimmy back, if even for five minutes. He’s like a zombie most of the time, all slumped over in his chair. His doctor has many patients at the same facility. If he says he’s coming on, for example, next Thursday, between 1 and 3, he often doesn’t show up at all. This over-the-top expensive facility is over $11,000 a month! And that doesn’t include his non-network medical costs. They have never recovered from COVID. Very short staffed. I just needed to vent……..
