New to this topic - Looking for advice for my aunt

Hello,
My 93 yr aunt lives in another state (NY) with her son. She has been having frightening hallucinations lately that she describes by phone. My cousin has been trying to get appointments that get scheduled months away. Is there some action that can be taken to get her seen sooner? I was going to tell my cousin to take her to an emergency room so she can be seen.
Any helpful feedback would be appreciated.

    Sorry to say my husband and I have experienced the same difficulty in VA. Have you found an answer to your own question?
