This drug has helped tremendously with MIL. Behavior wise only. She's always been high strung. Agitation is another issue we're using haldon for. But as time goes by it becomes less effective. Later stage 6 7 maybe. We do get about 4 hrs peace with trazadone at night. Keep reading, this site has been such a blessing to me and my husband.

    That lasted about 6 weeks.

    Now trying risperdal. Day one very quiet and alert. Not fussy or following

    My DH has been on Risperidone for a couple years. We have increased the dosage once and divided it into 3 doses to help with sundowning. Have also adjusted timing. Tried adding Trazadone in the afternoon for sundowning but it didn’t help much. Now trying a small amount of Gabapentin in the afternoon and it seems to calm some of the agitation.
