Anger and cruelty

My mom was diagnosed a few months ago. Fortunately, I was able to move her to assisted living. I live about 8 hours drive away, she has her sister and friends where she is living. Last week, she was very angry, she accused me of stealing from her etc... I am a pretty emotional person and it is difficult for me to just let go of that. How do you train your brain to know that the words are not her?
