My wife with Alzheimer's

First time posting. My 76-year-old wife of almost 57 years has Moderate Alzheimer's. Currently in a Geriatric Behavioral Hospital to address her aggression and paranoia. They are modifying her medication, and they almost discharged her to our home, but she had a meltdown. This may have been due to anxiety. My daughter and I have looked at Memory Care Facilities, but I keep asking myself how I can bring her home with her safety and mine a constant concern. Can anyone help me. Thanks,
Bob

I hope they were able to find medications to calm your wife’s aggression and anxiety. Many people on these forums have had success with antipsychotic medications. Two of the common ones are Seroquel and Risperidone but there are others. Risperidone made a huge difference for my husband. But everyone is different. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what will help. Please let us know how it goes.
