Any experience with Day Care Flex Spending Accounts through your employer?

Hi, I am setting up my health care benefits for the next year, and discovered that a Day Care Flex Spending Account can be used for care of a spouse or family member with dementia, used to pay for home health aides.
Does anyone have experience using a DC-FSA? Is it paperwork intensive? My co-worker's Health Care FSA requires receipts to prove expenses.
I have an aide who works 30 hours a week while I work, and if I setup the DC-FSA it will be pre-tax out of my paycheck. The cap is $7,500 a year, so that will only cover half of the year or so, but it would be pre-tax so it would help in that way.
