Talking when he’s sleeping

sometimes at night when my husbands sleeping, I talk to him. I’m laying in his arms and I look up at his face like I always did and he looks the same. Like there’s nothing wrong. I whisper that I miss him and wish he would come back the way he was. Sometimes I tell him that I wish he could help me figure out what to do. It makes me feel like this was just a nightmare. Like he’s still the same. Like nothings wrong.

it is hard not to think of the good times. In my husband’s clear moments, it seems just like it’s supposed to be and the next minute, he’s gone again. Alzheimer’s stinks!
