New to being caregiver

8 months into new diagnosis of dementia for dw. This journey is new every day and finding with each new answer to a question comes new questions. I was part of a video support group and that helped. Now hoping to find a new group for me and one for her. Maybe she could learn more from others like i did.

    Hi. I am also new with this. I am having a hard time. No help from family and don t know much of what to do. I want to join a support group that I think will help. Hope you find a support group too. We need as much help as possible. I care for my adult daughter.

    My mom (age 75) was diagnosed with alz 4 months ago / im her only caregiver and do not live with her. My sister refuses to help me … I’m looking for an online zoom support group. I’m here to chat with others and help each other get through this. I’m on the west coast.

    My DH suffered a frontal temporal brain injury from a fall from the roof 4 years ago and his memory loss is increasing. I am caring for him alone, he no longer drives and I need to find help to know if I am handling issues appropriately. I find that I am becoming more impatient and tired day by day. I have read the Signs and 7 stages info provided, but would really welcome more information on how to handle the way I need to respond to him. My real worry is that I am 77 with spinal issues and he is 71 and in great physical condition. What happens if anything happens to me?
