Hi,

My mom was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I was told about being about to go to a geriatric psychologist. Has anyone been to one and did it help? I'm trying to find out all the information about it and what can help me since I'm the primary caregiver. Thank you for your help!!

    She should be seeing a Neurologist and a Behavioral Therapist (possibly what you are thinking?).

    They will be able to evaluate her condition's progression and prescribe medication to calm her.

    Dementia without medication is not fun, bite scars heal though.

    I have not heard my Mother say my name in over 5 years.
