how to travel with husband at stage 4 alzheimer's

At the neurologist appointment 3/1/23,  my husband's diagnosis went from MCI to alzheimers. We were in Egypt 2/8-2/18/2023 with a packaged tour company where my husband became confused to time and place.  Recently learning that I am now a caretaking wife (I just stepped down from working to retirement), how can we still travel?  Are European trips possible?  What is the best way to travel?  We live in Florida and would love to go to Alaska and Hawaii.  These destinations are 12 hours away by plane.  Please advise if travel, is possible.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

You might think about an Alzheimer's cruise.  I went on one.  They cruise in the Caribbean and to Mexico.

Others will be along with more input.

This is a topic that comes up more frequently on the Spouses & Partners side of this site so you may want to repost over there as well.

There are some folks who do travel in the earlier stages with mixed success. There are a few who have done bucket list trips who were glad they did but came away vowing never again because of the stress it caused them or their companion's decline or unhappiness at being away from their routines and structure. Some find they are able to do simpler trips. Others bring a companion to assist around the caregiving responsibilities freeing them to do things the PWD isn't up for and keeping them safe as an extra set of eyes in case he needs to use the mens room or you become ill. Travel insurance is mission critical at this stage as well.
