I am my DH's caregiver who has VD. I am reaching out for some support from spouses in the same boat. I am feeling alone....

    I am new to this site and also Caretaker for my husbands who has Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's plus CHF, COPD, Diabetes II, and I am his sole caretaker 24/7. I try to learn all I can but also am homebound and feeling mostly alone. I can't say for sure when all this began but for the last 5 years we have been very aware of his Dementia and the Alzheimer's was added about 1 1/2 years ago. My 2 local daughters help but both work full time. I guess I'm just feeling "Old and alone" (we both will soon be 85) and hope to be able to share info with others who understand. My motto is "Do the best you can with what you got and get on with it."
