Cast problems

my husband who has @Alzheimer’s, recently broke a bone in his hand. The Doctor put a brace on it and of course my dh took it apart and wouldn’t leave it alone. Today a cast was put on. Now he’s trying to pull it off. Any suggestions to keep one hand busy??? I don’t know if he can get it off or not, but I don’t want to find out!
