    Thank you.

    I remember both when mother and MIL forgot me.

    "Paradoxal lucidity" I will have to remember that… Just read a section in a book (Chicken Soup series) where that exactly happened, but could not be explained.

    I can’t click on these links. Is there another way to find the article?

    If you bring up a browser window and copy and paste the link in the search bar (aka the URL bar or address bar) and then press return, it should come up for you.

    To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what that bar is called, but it's right at the top of the window.

    The NYT gift links are only valid for 30 days after sharing.

    @jehjeh

    On a laptop, you can highlight the link, right-click on it and click the "go to…" or "open in a new window/sidebar" options.

    This link worked. Thanks.

    My experience so far has been where my DH thinks I'm someone else (caregiver, nurse, mother's friend from his childhood...) he always has lovely things to say about his wife (me) so it's not all bad. Hard to know what to say because this can go on for hours and he asks questions about my life and I have a hard time keeping up the ruse for very long.

Commonly Used Abbreviations

DW= Dear Wife, Darling Wife
LO = Loved One
ES = Early Stage
EO = Early Onset
FTD = Frontotemporal Dementia
VD = Vascular Dementia
