DH Aware of Changes, Emotional Due To Changes

My DH is 59, diagnosed with Aphasia, Mild Dementia, positive biomarker for alzheimers in 10/2023. Dr was not expecting alzheimers as he did not have clinical symptoms, and also has empathy so Dr stated not FTD.
Question for this group does anyone have experience with someone that is aware of what is occurring and the sadness (why me), frustration (speech difficulties), and loss of work and independence.
How do I help him with the changes he is experiencing. I have tried finding things for him to do (puzzles, tanagrams, panda drum, yardwork, favorite movies) but I think the not having "work" is hard for him. I work from home so he see's me working.
He made the decision to give up driving, he recognizes his limitations, but his license reminds him of not driving anymore.
Does anyone have experience with memory cafe's or support groups, has it helped to give a connection to others with similar diagnosis.
