Hello, my best friend is looking for a group who has been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's. She has feelings of loneliness and her husband seems to be in early stages of denial. He's somewhat anti therapy. Is there a resource for her or a group that anyone knows of where she can log in and share her feelings? Thank you!

Hi, I was recently told I have EOA. I’m single and my daughter, I think is in denial also. I can’t get past “why me?” Then I think “why not me?” I’ll be 55 next month.

So sorry that you have to go through this. I was diagnosed at 64, in excellent physical health, athletic, with a cognitively demanding high-level job. I also am single, with no children. I search and seRvh for the cause: not enough cardio? Did I not wash the fertilizer off my vegetables enough? Early childhood trauma? Why, why??

Now I'm trying to focus on today instead: maximize cardio to enhance BDNF, stay social, exercise my brain. It's a crapshoot, but you can control today and a bit of tomorrow…
