Hi, Within the last month, I have become long distance healthcare decision maker for my brother-in-law. I also have POA of Finance. He is young, 65, and has been diagnosised with dementia. The hospital would not release him home as he is not able to care for himself. I moved him to a Residential care home in a new town, found funding for his care and he's been there 3 weeks. It's been rough. Today he decided that his dizziness and feeling "off" required going to the hospital by 911. I see on the hospital portal that he is not reporting accurate information and now they are changing his med protocol. He has an appt with a new primary dr but hasn't seen him yet. I'm exhausted, frustrated, angry and sooo tired. And I haven't even told you about his foreclosed home and tenant squatters living there. Is there a group called "venting"?
