I am new to all of this. I see personality changes in my husband of 50 years. My mom had Alzheimer's and I am seeing a lot of similarities in my husband, Negitve thought, quick to anger, obsession. I just feel alone and want to see if others have the same feeling. The change started after his father died a few years ago.

Welcome to the Alz extended family! You absolutely are not alone here. The changes your LO goes through with Alzheimer's or related afflictions is perplexing at best. As Sam Jackson says in Jurassic Park - "Hold on to your butts". That's what it feels like - a ride through a park, marked by moments of terror and not know what to do. Hang in there…

my LO has not remembered people for months- maybe 6. It is very sad, but even sadder is that now he doesn’t know who I am. That is a crushing development . I am in the process of getting my LO into an adult daycare. It is just too much for me to handle alone. Our daughter lives in the state of Washington, so besides my sisters, I am alone for his care. 😢
