It's time for hospice...

Hospice is coming to evaluate my LO this Wednesday. Is there anything in particular I should be aware of or any questions I should ask. I know the basics, but if you've been here before, you'd know more of the "things I wish I knew" before and after starting hospice. It was ordered by his primary care doctor so his doctor is aware. 

Any advice / words of wisdom would be a big help.

    There is a post on the spouse and partner forum on this topic. It’s several posts down.  Thread is  ‘asked for a hospice evaluation and it’s unsettling’.  You will see what Lady Texan was  told about her spouses’ evaluation score.

Commonly Used Abbreviations


DH = Dear Husband
DW= Dear Wife, Darling Wife
LO = Loved One
ES = Early Stage
EO = Early Onset
FTD = Frontotemporal Dementia
VD = Vascular Dementia
MC = Memory Care
AL = Assisted Living
POA = Power of Attorney
