This may seem silly (it strikes me so), but i did two things today that have already made me feel better: i bought a Roomba, and signed up for a cleaning service once a month. No more dog hair in the corners. Sign of how overwhelmed I've been not to have done it sooner. My kids think it's hilarious. Baby steps but steps by God.

M1 I can relate, it took me a long time to sign up for grocery delivery, now I don’t what I would do without it. I also treated myself to a new IPhone 14 max, as most of my life is on the phone.

I commend you for taking care of you.

Two great steps, M1. Babysteps can make a difference. I could have housecleaning every day, and I would still have dog hair in the corners.

    Nothing self-care is silly!

    M1-

    Congratulations on your Roomba!

What did you name yours? People name then you know. Mom christened hers "Dirty Harry". Every month or so I get a call that "Harry" has gone missing. The first couple times this information alarmed me having forgotten the vacuum has a name.

    Leaving this for you-

M1 I get it being consumed with our lo's care and all of the emotional Rollercoaster. I am glad you've taken a couple steps towards taking care of you. We all need to be doing that.

thanks for the chuckle Stewart. I may name mine Pigpen, after the Charles Schultz character. but Dirty Harry is pretty good....

M1, One of our sons gave me a Deebot brand robotic vacuum cleaner last Christmas. I love it! I named it “Deebee.” I must confess, sometimes I even talk to it. Seriously though, I’m so glad you’re taking care of yourself, and I don’t think these things are selling at all. Good for you!

Now I want to get Roomba, or something like that. Hmm, I do have a Kohl's 30% off coupon. Now to think of a fun name. I will admit, Dirty Harry had me giggle out loud.

Self care, in any form is needed. Groceries delivered or store pickup scheduled (when I can go through a drive through and bring back lunch) has been very helpful to me. The other thing I've done is schedule my haircuts when I'm there. That way 5 or 6 weeks stays that way, instead of me pushing it further and further out.

I would encourage everyone to attempt to do some self care.

    "Pigpen" is an excellent choice.

My DH wants to get one just so he can name it "Porfirio Roomba-rosa".

M1, good for you! You’ve got me surfing for a Roomba and a name. Boomer’s Zoomer comes to mind.

I wasn't considering getting one, but you don't have to buy it dog food....... 😁
