I encourage you to have your mother evaluated for Hospice comfort care services. It is an amazing service of which is 100% paid by Medicare. My mother has been admitted for couple of months. All of her medical care is coordinated through her case mgr RN, and she also has a nurse to come out to assist with bathing twice a week. This service has helped me feel less stressed with the additional help.
She has been with me and my family for over a year and a half. Hospice also provides quarterly respite services to give caregiver a 5 day break.
