I don't know how many members here are specifically in your area, but have you tried asking your neighbors, or other people who provide local services in other fields? It's sort of a matter of button-holing everybody you meet—pastors, bank tellers, postal workers, package delivery people, utility workers—somebody usually knows somebody. Last time I wanted to find an honest auto mechanic, I asked my doctor. He's a burly middle aged sort, and I guessed he wouldn't put up with anybody cheating him. He referred me to his mechanic, who is now my mechanic. I like my new mechanic very much.

Hello Lucy C. Thanks for the suggestions, actually, asking you all is what I was doing with my post.

I am also in Orange County and suggest that you check the classified ads in the O.C. Register.

Hi Russinator—you might want to check online reviews at Yelp as well-a lot of these folks get pretty busy, but you never know!
