Long distance caregiver

I am trying to care for my eldest brother who was diagnosed with dementia and June of 2024. And right now it's May 5th of 2025. And it has escalated so quickly I mean the progression of it has really taken off like a wildfire. I live in Tennessee he lives in Ohio and I'm constantly racing to Ohio check on him to make sure he's okay he never had any children of his own. But he had children that he loved and taught school for 40 years of his life always giving gracious loving and kind person I just couldn't understand why something like this what happened to him. I've been angry about it but now that the anger is no longer I am just so freaking sad and I feel overwhelmed

    So sorry about your brother. Is he living in a safe place? Still at home? It's such a huge worry. I'm in Ohio and might be able to help direct to resources if you need that.

    Hi cdgbdr, thanks for reaching out yes right now my brother is in a rehab facility for now. But hopefully we will be getting him into a assisted living soon
