in Caring For a Spouse or Partner

My husband passed peacefully this morning. I woke just before and was holding his hand.

I had been hoping that he could find an off-ramp, and he did. We have been blessed.

My deepest thanks to all of you for your support, sympathy and advice on this long hard road.

I'll come back here often. Wishing all of you peace as you continue.

    I’m sorry for your loss. Please rest now. It’s okay to do whatever you feel like at that moment- rest, stay busy, binge TV. Whatever you feel like is what your body and mind needs at that time.

    @Jazzma I have been offline for some time, adjusting to Stage 8 myself. The title of your post is exactly how I felt in the moments after my DH's passing. No more Alz, no more stress and strife with that long hard struggle. I wish you both peace.
