Hi All, I’m noticing my LO isn’t sleeping well at night and now sleeping most of the day. He has severe sleep apnea and we have tried every gadget to help him sleep but he can’t handle the mask at all. He wakes up all night because of dreams that he interacts to. I finally moved to another room so I can get sleep but I feel I don’t know what’s happening to him? We have tried every sleeping aid, prescription and over the counter, he says they give him crazy dreams 😒so should I move back in the room so I can hear him or just let it be this way. He really hates that the pups and myself are not in the room but he understands one of us must sleep. I do miss my bed, but really I’m worthless without sleep 🛌 Sandi

My husband’s having sleep problems too like yours (except for the sleep apnea). As much as I would try to keep him asleep at night, he will still get up at 10:30 PM and will be up until 5:00 AM. He is not on any sleeping meds but I can’t seem to change his sleeping pattern. He will sleep until 12:00 noon or 1:00 PM. He doesn’t want to take up pills because he said it will make him crazy. He’s a retired sleep doctor so he knows how these meds can affect patients.

I try to keep him up and awake in the morning. But right after a meal, he will want to go back to bed and sleep until 6:00.

Try using a baby monitor. That way you can hear him . Also it makes my Dh feel better knowing I can hear him in case of emergency.

I have the same problem with my DH. I now sleep in the bedroom while he sleeps in his recliner in the living room. He has tried different meds to no avail so I have resigned myself to the fact that this is our new normal. Usually he is pretty quiet at night so as not to disturb my sleep. I feel for you.

Try more exercise during the day. That is what my sleep doctor advised me for my severe insomnia.

My DH is also having sleep problems and changes to his sleep patterns. He is now awake for all but a few hours at night which makes taking care of him even more exhausting.
