So sorry to hear about your sickness and your need for hospitalization, but glad to hear that you are about 90% better. Perhaps your incontinence will only be temporary?

Thank you but my incontinence is permanent. I was in the hospital in Feb and march and June it was the flu in Feb and March and viral pneumonia in June like I said I'm still not back. When I go out I wear diapers but at least I can still go out. My problem is I cannot go visit my wife my wheel chair will not go through the door but my wife visits me when she can.

Welcome back, David! We missed you on the front porch. I'm sorry your were in the hospital so much, but I'm glad you are better. Continue healing! It's great that you were able to get out to see the museum.
Last month I visited a memorial to Bob Hope, who entertained so many of our brave military folk. Here are a few photos.

I am now on Leqembi and will receive my third infusion this week. An MRI is soon to follow. Since I have one biomarker that puts me at risk for side effects, I am glad I will be getting that MRI.
I have seen changes in my cognitive functioning since I was diagnosed last November and hope this helps slow the progress.
I delayed my start because no one would answer my question about how much would be covered by my supplemental insurance. I still do not know, which is very troublesome.
I want to thank everyone for comments on this discussion and wish you all good progress. LBC83, your story is inspiring.

My story is just an average-joe on Leqembi. A better example of an inspirational story might be Ralph Carmona. I found out about Ralph from an Eisai corporate update. The presentation was primarily about the finances regarding past Leqembi sales and future business projections. But they included one slide about Ralph, who is on Leqembi. He finished the 2025 Boston Marathon in 4H14M42S, after visiting 5 medical tents and suffering a cramp in his right calf. He intends to run again in 2026, at age 75. Ralph has served on the Alzheimer's Association National Early-Stage Advisory Group (remember it is the Alzheimer's Association which sponsors this forum). He has a PhD in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara. It appears to me that based on the timing of when Ralph has indicated he started on Leqembi, he must have been a participant in the Leqembi Phase 1 or Phase 2 trial, which ran around 2014-2016! This guy was a pioneer with Leqembi, and he is still going strong ten years later. Talk about an inspiring story!
