Keeps wanting to go get hair cut

My husband had his hair cut two weeks ago and keeps saying he needs a haircut, should I just let him go again? I remind him that he just went but he doesn't believe me

Maybe the attention feels good. Maybe it brings him comfort. I would say yes.

Let him go will only keep asking

I wouldn't argue about when he had his last haircut. Maybe brush his hair and tell him how good it looks.

Might you try a quick trim by you to appease him?

Possibly collude with the barber so the barber pretends to do something, although it would probably be appropriate to pay the barber for his time.

My husband loved going to the barber, everybody in the place was so kind to him. I would make an appointment and took him whenever he wanted to go. The barber (or barber-ette) would tell him what they thought, and it was always ok with him. If he didn't need a haircut, they would offer to wash and blow-dry him. Or shave him a bit. Or clean his ear-hair (yes, gross!), whatever. I paid them for their service. Seeing him so happy in a 'normal' setting was more than worth it!

Could you try something like- they don’t have any appointments available til next week, or tell him you made an appointment and just keep pushing out, if his usual barber doesn’t usually do appointments could you tell him they now require appointments. Just some ideas. I hope you find a solution.

I hope " just let him go" doesn't mean he'd drive there ….
