So, I have a port wine birthmark on my face and I didn’t feel like putting on makeup to cover but I wanted to go get fresh beans and corn for dinner. DH says “I don’t know what you’re worried about, no one is going to pay attention to an old worn out lady like you” Then proceeded to say “you’re really acting crazy and not in your right mind today”……And here I thought I was a Hot 67 year old with a pretty solid head on my shoulders 🤨🤣

Sometimes I do get a kick out of them just saying what’s on their mind.. no filters…and then again sometimes not.

It's funny how, as we get older, we recalibrate our notion of "old". Heck, I'm older than you, so 67 is young.

I'm old and happy to be so! In good health, get out and walk 2-3 miles per day. My joys in life, there have been many, are all behind me. Would not go back to any age, just happy where I am. It's a contented place to be at 78! Rick

Just today, someone was telling me about the death of a "young person." In my wildest dreams, I could not imagine the person was 67. I remember when my friends and I were in our teens, we thought ppl in their 40s were old. Now that I've passed my 40s, they seem like babies and 60s & 70-year olds are considered young. Like, what the heck? 🤣

I watch some of the standup comedians on YouTube. Some of them joke about being old, and they mean 32. As in, young enough to be my grandchild.
