Is Rexulti an Option?

Hello Friends, I'm so sorry you have need to be here but I am so very grateful for your input. I recently posted concerns regarding my DH's combativeness and aggressiveness with showers and getting undressed for bed. It's become a significant issue and Rexulti has been recommended. Wondering whether you may have thoughts and/or experience with this medication? Thank you in advance for any insights.

My late stage husband does better on it. Having said that, I'm told that it can also increase the patients mortality so you have to consider that. Is that a week, a month, a year, 2 years, 4 years? NO ONE can answer that . It's just something the Dr warns you about in advance and in fact some insurances won't cover it. I chose to give it to my DH. ANd it has helped. It does make him sleep more, so be aware of that. I chose quality over quantity, however long that is. It's been 6 months, in case you're wondering. Good luck. Is a very personal decision.

I have a 38 year old daughter that is bipolar and she takes Rexulti. It has made a big difference, She was having delusions hallucination and getting violent. She much better with the Rexulti. I don't know how it works with dementia.
