Unfortunately, renewed and even excessive interest in sex is not unusual in PWDs. Not all, but many become hypersexual and lose their filters about talking about it.

it’s very common in dementia. Please speak with his doctor. There are medications they can prescribe to help. Be very honest with the doctor.

yes, this does indeed happen sometimes and for my DH/alz it lasted about 3 months . I was usually able to redirect with a car ride and I would just let him chatter on about it. Others here have mentioned they had to monitor computer use for inappropriate use but my DH was no longer using computers or cell phones . Definitely mention to the doctor

We are going through this now too. DH doesn't know my name, or who I am, but, woops it out and gets all amorous. Got to keep the humor I suppose

We went through this for most of the summer. I used DH's previous heart attack as excuse for a "postponement" of any physical act and assured him that we would ask his cardiologist at his next appointment for "permission." He has now declined to the point that he no longer mentions it. I'm glad I didn't need to add another medication for what was a "phase."

I went through a similar phase with DW, and it lasted quite a while. I wrote about it in the thread "horny": <https://alzconnected.org/discussion/67983/horny?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=horny>
