Looking for a support group

Hello, my DH has EO and is only in his 40's. Does anybody know of any support groups I can join. To help me?

    Hi Jenn, for what it is worth - my DW is 49, stage 5, and this group has been the best support I could have asked for. I thought we might not be a match here due to her age and very EO but in reflection the journey has not been that different from those at any age and the wisdom, understanding, and compassion priceless.

    Contact the Alzheimers hotline at 800-272-3900. Based upon your zipcode they will offer suggestions for inperson amd online support groups. There are so many to choose from so you will find the additional help you need.

    Welcome. So sorry about your husband’s diagnosis. if you join a support group I recommend you still come here often for info and support. Meanwhile get your legal affairs in order. Contact an Elder Care Attorney for Durable Power of Attorney etc. Learn all you can about the disease. Start with the book “The 36 Hour Day” recommended by a nurse. You are not alone. The people here understand how you feel. 💜

    My DH (57) was diagnosed with EO about 2 years ago and is now late stage 4. I looked for local support groups and tried a few. This forum though has been much more helpful than the in person groups. Feel free to DM me with any questions if you need help.
