Tips for husbands

I mentioned these in a reply a few days ago but thought they might be worth repeating in a post. For those husbands caring for DWs here's a few things I've picked up along the way:

  • bra straps for bra straps. Yes, they make these small straps that go in the back that connect the two that go over the shoulder if your wife has a problem with straps not staying up on her shoulders.
  • If you don't have a shower hose get one. It's a must for cleaning private parts
  • Leg shaving. Really struggled with this but I have two methods. One, of course is in the shower. Gotta have something for her to prop her leg up and just do the best you can with razor and soap. Second - go buy an electric leg shaver. Bought one at target for about $30 bucks. Works great on dry skin. Just find a comfortable set up where you either sit down and she stands in front of you or have her prop her leg up.
  • Slip on tennis shoes
  • I noticed her skin on her face was starting to have issues. Notable her chin. Dermotologist pointed out that she's probably drooling at night. So every morning when we get dressed I dampen a washcloth and wipe her face all over
  • Hair. Finally decided to shorten it up a bit over the shoulders. Much easier to maintain and keep clean. Fits in the shower cap better.

OK, that's about it for now.

she’s 73 and still has beautiful legs so she wears shorts in the summer. We live in Florida. Gets hot.

Persevere, I just noticed your reply. I hadn't thought of the heat and shorts. Of course, you're right, and a very thoughtful husband for being so attentive to her grooming.
