Is there an app you would recommend for medication reminders? Thanks in advance.

I do it the old fashioned way. I use a daily pill sorting unit for am and pm, and prepare all meds a week in advance, every Friday evening. Every evening I administer the pm meds, and put the am meds in a bowl which I give DW when I bring her breakfast. If we travel I make sure there's enough for a few extra days in case we stay longer than planned. Simple but effective to assure no missed doses.

I had a clock especially for Alzheimer's where I could set text reminders. It was ignored. Same with reminders on the phone. All that has worked is for me to put them out or to direct him which ones to get from the container where I have counted them out ( we have one for mornng and one for night and I fill them once a week).

I bought a medication dispenser off of Amazon for my DH. It locks (that way I don't have to worry about him taking medicine twice), has an alarm that goes off when it is time for him to take his medicine, and it won't stop beeping until he takes the medicine out and takes it. It holds 30 days work of meds which is nice. There is no way for him to open the dispenser since I have the key.

Thank you! Taking additional dosages was a definite concern.
