Saw 4 hawks today…

I’m driving to attend a reunion with Marines my husband served with in Vietnam. 3 wives who have lost their husbands since I last attended with my husband 6 years ago will be there. My husband and I traveled in an RV and always counted hawks. He believed in Native American philosophy and hawks are good luck. On my trip today I saw 4 hawks! Haven’t seen many in the 18 months since he passed. It gave me a warm feeling. 💜🙏

    So glad you experienced the hawks as a reminder of the times of you and your dear husband traveling together. It seems we see, hear or find things ongoing that just lets us know our loved one is still with us in their own way. It is a strange feeling of overwhelming sadness with joy. I'll be so glad when the joy trumps the sadness and i can better enjoy the warm feeling longer. Thank you for supporting one of our Marines and thank you to your dear husband for his service.

    I love that you remember your husband when you see hawks! We have a lot around here, mostly red-tailed and Cooper's hawks. It is good that you can go to the reunion with the Marines. They are brothers forever. Thank you for sharing this.

    When I see a bald eagle, I just know it is Roger's spirit coming to check on me and reassure me. I don't see them very often, but I often see them just when I need to. Our wedding anniversary was Oct. 13, and while driving to the restaurant across town, I saw a magnificent bald eagle flying with a fish in its talons. It landed on a nearby electrical tower. I told Roger that we were dining together that night. He was having fish and I had shrimp.
