My Mom Died November 1st

Hi everybody,
I have been reading these posts for years. My mom had Alzheimer’s for about 15 years. 3 years ago, my father died and I took over the caregiving for my mom. She was bedridden for those 3 years. But she was the sweetest little lady. She had forgotten who I was, but she gave me kisses everyday.
She died on November 1st. And we just buried her today next to my father.
I just want to say what a wonderful forum this has been for me. I learned a lot. Thank you everybody.

    May your mothers memory be for a blessing.

    I also took care of my mom, full time for her last 2 years. In our building were a couple retired RNs who were available to care for her when I needed to work in the mornings. The rest of the time it was just me and although she also was a sweet lady it was exhausting, but I will never regret repaying the love and caring she gave to me.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you will come to remember her when she was fully herself. Know that you did the best for her making sure she was safe and cared for and loved.
