so I’m sitting here making dinner for my DH with VD after taking him to the movies-aka date😁 that he said it was so good to when we got home (5 minutes) to it was ok . I know he didn’t remember it but his first thought was positive! The Horsemen BTW. Now I’m making dinner and wondering why ? He’s been in the kitchen 3 times in 20 minutes, doesn’t remember going to the movies, he’s losing to his temper every night with me this week! No one should live like this- my DH nor me! Seriously?

you’re right nobody should live with this heartbreaking disease. So sorry you are going through this. Is he on anti anxiety meds? You are trying to rationalize dementia behaviors and that’s impossible. You can’t rationalize someone’s behavior that can’t reason. His reasoner is broken. His short term memory is gone. Hope you are safe and have a plan if he gets violent. 💜

    Hi JC5.

As @SDianeL said, this is a heartbreaking disease! Every day is the same yet different! One moment is okay and the next is just crazy!

DH had me up most of the night with hallucinations and aimeless wandering - extremely restless! Now he’s exhausted and asleep in the recliner. I just ‘go with the flow’ and keep an eye on him so he’s safe.

Saying lots of prayers for all of us!
