Bible Verse to Lift You Up 11/15/2025
GOD IS MY SHIELD
Psalm 3:3-4a
But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
THINK ABOUT THIS: When storms slam head-on into our lives, let’s keep praying and thanking the Lord anyway. We find our courage and strength when we choose to trust Him. When we feel afraid and overwhelmed, our prayers bring us to before the Lord, the safest place we can go. His love, watchful care and power help us. He is faithful!
TODAY’S GOOD NEWS: God’s love and power surround you and me.
PRAYER: Lord, I praise You for being a faithful refuge from fear. Thank you for the peace and security of Your protective shield surrounding me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
DEAR FRIENDS, I am not a Bible expert. I would love to hear your thoughts on the verses. Also, if you need a prayer, include that in comments. Hopefully, we all will pray for each other.
May God bless all of you lots! Ronnie (VKB, Veronica Kelly Badowski)

Ronnie, I appreciate your post and Bible verses. My favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. I try to believe this, but my faith wavers because of this disease. I do need a prayer. Cat

I rely on God to get me through life and most definately through this. Psalm 19: The Lord is my rock, my fortess, my deliverer, etc. There have been days that I prayed though the whole psalm to quiet myself, to overcome my fears so that I could face the day. This was so esp. during the first months after DH's diagnosis and I suspect that once he hits stage 5, I may need to do so again. For now, I am at peace.
I don't know if mentioning these things are offensive to others. I hope not. But, on the other hand, this is also not a place to be preachy as many do find that to be offensive. This site is a refuge for all, believers and non-believers, and must remain a safe place for all. I hope that I did offend you.

I use Proverbs 15:1 on a pretty regular basis. “A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.”
It helps to answer kindly when my DH gets dialed up.3 -
Thank you all for your prayers. Believers and those unsure of what they believe still need the comfort and support the words themselves give even if they're unsure where the words come from. Take comfort where we can from wherever we can from whomever cares enough to share. I'm mentally surrounding all of you in a warm hug. I hope you can feel it. My husband is in a facility for the remainder of this insidious disease and just when I think he can't get worse he does. Just when i think I can't cry anymore I do. This disease just flat out sucks.
