My Love is home.
Hi friends,
My loving partner Luis of 6 years (46 yo eoa) passed away this morning peacefully in bed with me by his side. I am okay as this is all bittersweet. I am sad as my love is gone and I shall move on with my life. I am angry because this disease is horrible and robbed us both of growing old together. I am relieved as he is no longer in pain or suffering. He is no longer a prisoner of his body and mind.
As I sat next to him before hospice came and did their thing I thanked him. I said, "My baby, I love you so much and i thank you for teaching me patience and making me a stronger person. If I can go through this I can make it through anything. I will never forget you and I will love for you and go do all the things we wanted to do together. I will always keep moving forward for you and for me. I love you Luis. Don't worry about me I will be okay."
With all that being said I am not having a traditional funeral. I will have a celebration of life next summer. But for right now is there a way to do a fundraiser on his behalf and donate the money to the Alzheimers association for specifically those suffering with early onset alzheimerz?
Thanks for everyone's support as i walked this journey the last few years.
We are all in this together, forever 💜

My sweet husband passed away in August, after 5 years on the long Alz road. A stroke and a seizure shortened his anguish and he was gone in 36 hours. We decided to celebrate his life with a memorial service followed by an ice cream social later in August. In his obituary we asked for donations to be made to an inner city center where he volunteered. We provided the name and address and many of his friends and family honored that request. Perhaps including that information could serve you well. I pray you know you will make it, hold on to your love for him and his for you.
