I have been mainly reading posts on this for two years. It helped. I lost my dear husband this Saturday. It was a peaceful profound and passing. His room was filled with love and music. Having an iron clad molt really helped. When the Er doctors mentioned a respirator, we knew to say no. He had comfort care only.

    Astounding that a legitimate doctor would consider putting a dementia patient on a respirator. So sorry for your loss.

    No respirator is our plan as well. Thank you for sharing this part of your journey. I am so sorry for you and your families loss.

    Thank you all. My husband’s death was a sad thing and a big thing, but it was not a bad thing.
