Drumming in his sleep
My DH is at moderate stage 5 and sleeps well through the night. He went to sleep at 7:30 this evening. In his sleep, from about 11:15pm to 11:30pm, he started a very fast, vigorous rhythmical drumming with his finger tips on the wall behind his head, lasting from 3 to 25 seconds each and less than a minute apart.
My quick google search came up with this:
“Drumming on the wall during sleep with Alzheimer's can stem from sleep disturbances, behavioral changes like restlessness, or even be an unconscious action.”
Has anyone else’s loved one had this behavior?

I’ve never heard of this one. I will be interested to see what the responses are.

My husband would drum on his chest while sleeping. It was so fast, it was like hummingbird. He's always loved rhythm and drums, so I thought maybe it was part of that.
