Crying out of nowhere.

It’s funny how certain things will trigger our emotions. My DW and I were sitting comfortably in our recliners last night listening to Christmas music. We were both enjoying the time and then came an Elvis Christmas song “Santa bring my baby back to me”. Out of nowhere I just lost it and started weeping.

Oh no. I'm so sorry, and I can certainly understand how those words would hit like a brick.

Happens to us all at unexpected moments, even after we have lost them. All the pent up grief we hold, keeping it in day by day to protect our loved one, sometimes just spills out. I found it frightened my dear wife, since she did not understand what was happening, so I used little white lies to cover and tried harder to not let it happen in front of her but it can be uncontrollable. It is a sign of how much you love her.
