Hi - I just joined this group, but have been caring for my DH for a few years now. He has early onset genetic ALZ. He was on memantine and donepezil for a couple of years when he developed paranoid delusions. He was exhibiting similar behaviors getting up at all hours of the night taking the dog out. It was a living nightmare, and I had to put my foot down and tell him that he was either going to the senior center or he would have to go into MC. We also took him off the donepezil. Getting him to the senior center (aka Adult Daycare) has been a life saver for me. My DH is 14 years older than I & I still have to work. They provide him with breakfast and lunch - the bus picks him up and brings him home. I know that he's safe while I am at work, which is a relief. The biggest change is that he is not sitting around obsessing about what I'm doing or looking at his phone all day (don't get me started on the scammers).

I can't go to local support groups because they all seem to be during the day. My councilor recommended that I try going an online support group. Does that exist or is it just message boards?
