Thank you(12)

I have been a lurker here since March 2017.  I don't post, but I log in almost daily as part of my morning coffee routine to keep up to date.

I just want to say thank you to all who contribute.  I have learned so much here.  I've laughed, cried, nodded in agreement, shaken my head in disbelief.  This forum has been a comfort and a tool.  It's helped me to recognize and understand what might be coming next.  I was better equipped to adapt to changes with my dad and accept what happened.  I learned many useful techniques and deeper compassion, both for others and myself.

Although my father's journey with Parkinson's dementia has ended, I will continue to frequent the forum for a little longer.

Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and experiences.  You'll never know how many others you have helped.  I wish you each the best.

Dear Nantastic, I'm very sorry for the loss of your Dad. Even though I am 61 years old, I can't imagine life without my Dad. He has always been my rock. I hope you are doing well and taking good care of yourself! The people here have been a huge blessing to me too! I wish you the best.

Dear nantastic, I, too, am somewhat of a lurker. Like you, I am so grateful for those who so graciously share their wisdom and experiences with all of us who are muddling our way through this awful disease.

Please accept my deepest condolences on your father's passing.

My sympathies to you for the passing of your father. Since you have been on the forum for awhile, you may remember me. I used to post a lot, but now I come on mostly to say a prayer for those who have passed and to support the caregivers who have lost a loved one. I wish you the best as you go through life and hope the happiness I know your father wishes for you-come to full bloom as we kick Covid to the curb and return to the good life.
