From Rage to paranoid very hard to deal with...

MY father goes from Rage and aggression to being helpless and paranoid . Open to all suggestions please.

    Welcome scocla50. Is he on any medication? The atypical antipsychotics like seroquel, risperdal, and zyprexa can be very helpful in dealing with these behaviors. If aggression is an issue he may need admission to a geriatric psychiatric ward to get things stabilized for his own safety and everyone else's. I would call his doc today or take him to the ER if you have to. Good luck, none of this is easy. This forum can be very helpful, glad you found it.
