Dementia progress

DH dementia progress. I've never bothered with what stage he is in. I know it is a little different with AD. I am lucky to have training and work with dementia persons in my career. Sometimes it has helped me; like he will often say he is not hungry but will eat if I put food in front of him. Today I remember something that  I use to do with my  patients. We live in Maine and have snow seems like every other day. He wants to go out and shovel  but he gets lost outside. I try to redirect him and he gets anoyed with me .....so I grab a small laundrybasket and take socks, and handkerchiefs, ruffle them up in basket and ask if he would help me fold/match laundry. He loves to help. Worked for about 1/2 hour. I could do that with a few plastic cups etc. and ask if he would wash a couple. He loves to sweep or dust mop. I forgot to do this, makes him feel good for helping and less restless. Any other ideas?

Maybe you are not feeling well. "Would you mind staying in with me until I feel better?".
