“Ok ok ok”

My mom is not communicating much at all anymore, but she repeatedly says “ ok ok ok” and “ oh god”. I ask if she’s in pain or needs anything and her response is “no.” It’s pretty consistent and I’m at a loss with this. Anyone have any similar issues?

My aunt keeps saying ok ok ok as well. She lives in another state and has always been like a mom to me. I call her since I can't visit. Despite the ok, ok I keep talking to her in my normal voice and tell her I love her, Now and then she would say I love you after I said it 20 times, but in the last two weeks it's mostly just ok's.

Is it possible that your LO is actually in some discomfort (despite saying otherwise)?  It is possible that they are also scared and are trying to reassure themselves by saying "ok, ok, ok."

My mom repeats words often. Someone told me that is a sign of Alzheimers.  I do agree with the other posters, that perhaps your mom is trying to calm herself.

What happens if you sit next to her and put your arm around her and say "Everything IS ok and I am here with you?"
