Yes, check with the doctor first.  Not only can any supplement interact, possibly badly, with current meds, you have to consider the possibility of you LO getting up with impaired balance and judgement from being drugged.  This could be a big fall risk.

I don’t yet but I have the dosage recommended by her neurologist in the cabinet for when I do.  May be sooner than later.

I do not supplement; however, her doctor said Melotonin was fine.  However, it does not work continuously for individuals with dementia.  She was still up four times last night.

For us, metallonin is salvation. Because, the lack of melatonin explains the age-related insomnia of the elderly, because over the years the activity of the pineal gland decreases. Therefore, it can be recommended to older people as a dietary supplement that will make sleep stronger and improve general well-being. In general, melatonin is useful for all people over 35 years. It is usually taken in courses of about 1-3 mg per night. The frequency of admission per week varies individually. There are no side effects from seasonal intake in such small doses. Addiction does not develop, and the production of its own hormone is not reduced. However, a small number of people have side effects such as headaches, depression and stomach discomfort. Therefore, it is all very individual, and it should be prescribed by your doctor !!! And we always order it at the https://www.canadapharmacy.com/  , there are good prices.

Check with your doctor. Our doctor put my mother on it. Now she is in hospice and it is one of the things they supply. It has really helped us, but everyone is different.

Hi. My mom’s doctor prescribed her Trazodone but we found melatonin worked better.  She became too loopy on the other.  We also found the chewable melatonin was better than the pills. My mom would sleep through the night vs waking 3-4 times during the night
