Crucial communication

My mom 94 was just placed in memory care 2 weeks ago. The facility actually moved her without letting me know for 24 hours!

She has been (in her mind) traveling, in hotel rooms, at school, work, my work  - you get it. As far as I knew never really left the ALF facility just wandered inside with her packed bag. I’ve been able, when she calls terrified, to orient her - but at midnight last night she called (just realized) that she is locked in. She wants me- pleading, to come rescue her.

How do I have the conversation about this? Others have said to go with whatever she is telling me - like She is at school so once I tried going along with it she became agitated telling me that she would take a cab if I couldn’t bother to get her. Normally when I reorient her she is calm and says she will take my word that she is safe and de-escalate.

    Hello,

My 95 year old mom moved in with my husband and me 3 weeks ago. She has had Alzheimers for a few years now and we could no longer care for her long distance so she lives with us. She should be in a MC facility but we don't have the finances for that. I'm already so tired and feel trapped in my own home caring for her. The Alz groups and community services that could help here shut down due to covid 19. How do people afford care??? I know she qualifies for medicaid but places here, NV, are either not taking it, have no waiting lists or are horrible.

I have one sister close by and she gives me breaks, but aside from that it just feels hopeless.
