Luke 10:27 New International Version
“ He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Galatians 2:16 NIV
“know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.”
Hebrews 11:6 New International Version
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

me: Please help me out here and write what you are thinking. How and what do you do to love God?
*
Take Away: We humans cannot perfectly love and obey God or perfectly love our neighbors, but we are made perfect, justified, by faith in Christ our Savior. Holy Spirit helps us to grow in our love for God and others.

Sis, I know this isn't exactly a good response to what you wrote today, but since I was posting some thoughts down in Musings, this thought keeps coming into my mind.

    Psalm 25:3

No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

And this, from the television series, The West Wing :

"And I'm here to tell you that hope is real. In a life of trials, in the world of challenges, hope is real. In a country where families go without health care, where some go without food, some don't even have a home to speak of, hope is real. In a time of global chaos and instability where our faiths collide as often as our weapons, hope is real. Hope is what gives us the courage to take on our greatest challenges, to move forward together. We live in cynical times, I know that. But hope is not up for debate. There is such a thing as false science, there is such a thing as false promises, and I am sure I will have my share of false starts. But there is no such thing as false hope. There is only hope."

The Lord gives me my hope. My hope for a future. My hope for a cure. My hope for a nice day. How can I not love the one who gives me hope ?

Hopefully this doesn't muddy the waters too much.
