Mild Frontotemporal Dementia at 57

We just received news that my 57 year old mom has dementia. They are not able to narrow down which one (Posterior Cortical Atrophy, Atypical Alzheimer's or FTD-this is what they think). I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any advice or anything that have done that has helped. I have read about their diets and things like that. Just looking for some help, hope, anything to grasp for her and my family. I have two young kids that she seems every week and are very close with. Appreciate and help and insights

Stephanie:  I recommend that you post on the caregivers board and be specific about what you are asking for help with.  Also check out Solutions in the tabs above.

There are a number of good books about the subject. Start with The 36 Hour Day. You'll learn a lot.
